My name is Stuart Harris and I am 29 years old at the time of writing, I have a full time job and I like to take photographs when I'm not working. In 2013 I went back to college in order to set up my own website and business. Now the site is up and running I am using it to exhibit my passion for photography.
My first camera was a pentax k1000 given to me by someone very special when I was sixteen and photography has been a part of my life ever since. For me a photograph has the ability to capture the emotions and memories that we are all guilty of losing focus of from time to time. To look at a photograph can make everthing clear once more and to be reminded of those special moments can keep a person going when life becomes overwhelming... or at least from my own personal experience it seems.
You see, life has never been that easy for me, especially the last five or six years, and then late in 2012 I hit a major cross roads in my life. It was the same special person - the one who gave me my first camera - who gave me something else; she gave me hope. It was time to stop telling myself I could never do the things I am capable of, it was time to stop telling myself I couldn't accomplish anything, and it was time to start believing I could.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been behind me through it all, you know who you are, I wouldn't be where I am without you. It is down to you that I have found the confidence to set up my own business and am taking photographs to help other people capture the memories they never want to forget...
